Strength in depth
Our Consulting Services
We offer the strength-in-depth to deliver your project. Our consulting team are highly skilled across all modules and versions of IFS and NetSuite, specialising in a wide range of areas including finance, manufacturing, supply chain, HR and engineering.
With experience gained through both local and global projects, our consultants work with you using their straightforward approach to understand your business and develop solutions to even the most complex business problems.
To support our in-house team we have invested heavily in developing an associate network, which comprises expert individual independent consultants whose expertise can be drawn on to deliver small or large projects, as and when required. Our associates are highly experienced and all have a minimum of 5 years experience covering a mix of different specialities.
Business Information Review
Our unique process for a best practice approach to projects.
A robust implementation plan is vital to the success of a project.
Our methodologies and processes have been built up over the years to ensure only one thing - your success.
Business Information Review
We created a unique process we call the Business Information Review (BIR). We developed from years of using our best practice approach. Carried out by our specialist consulting team in partnership with you, the client, the overriding aim of a BIR is to align your organisation’s overall business goals with your IT requirements in order to create an IT systems roadmap and solution for your business.
A BIR considers the internal IT solutions currently used, both in terms of the individual systems and processes they manage. We then look for any gaps in the current set-up. This is followed by a review of the market, needs and wants of you, the customer, as well as what your competitors currently offer
We then consider the external and internal interfaces used, including data sharing and any interaction with third parties. We also review your plans for disaster recovery, succession planning and controlled change management.
The outcome of all this is a high-level summary document of the project scope, benefits, risks, and outline costs. Ultimately, it provides you with the expert knowledge and solid foundation you need to develop your organisation’s IT systems landscape in line with your business needs.
A quick exercise which can be carried out in as little as 5 days, the BIR provides a detailed analysis of the current system, processes and requirements which will influence the design of a solution.
It facilitates the creation of a bespoke document which identifies key business objectives, measurable success factors, recommended system features, implementation schedule and outline costs. The project is broken down in to key stages and tasks with short term objectives and results.
Working through a BIR creates a business case for the project which can be presented at board level, helping to ‘sell’ the solution to the wider business. The risk of embarking on a project which does not meet the needs of your business is reduced saving time and money.
Selecting the right ERP software for your business is only half the battle. It still needs to be implemented. Getting this right is critical to the failure or success of the project. To guarantee success, a strong business case with clear strategic objectives that has buy-in across the organisation, along with a sound implementation plan using straightforward project methodology is required. At Cooper Software, we have a vast amount of experience and a host of successful implementations behind us. Our process works whether you are implementing a full ERP solution, carrying out an upgrade or even just adding a single module.
Our consultants can support your implementation in one of three ways. We can take full ownership of the project, assuming responsibility for the entire project from start to finish. Or we can work in conjunction with you, dividing up agreed deliverables at the outset of the project. Or, you can take ownership of the project, and we will assist by providing project administration support.
From our experience gained delivering over 500 ERP projects, we have spent considerable time reviewing how we can best deliver projects for our customers. We have developed a straightforward project methodology which considers how we engage with customers, manage deliveries and expectations on both sides, successfully taking a project from initial kick-off through to implementation, end-user training and ‘go-live’ support.
Our in-house Engineering team has developed an extensive product suite to successfully map business and system processes together and plug functionality gaps within existing systems.
Any ERP investment requires on-going support. Our 24/7 support service allows customers to take advantage of our full time experts, freeing up your own internal resource for other critical projects.
